TRAVEL BUZZ-TRAVEL NEWS EVERY TRAVELER SHOULD KNOW!

The current fuel crisis in the US has led to changes in all aspects of our lives. In addition to paying higher gas bills and more for petroleum at the pumps, the rise in gas prices has also led to important changes in the way we travel today and possibly forever. Some of these changes are:
Baggage Allowance: In an effort to deal with rising fuel costs, some airlines have implemented new baggage policies. This change means that some airlines will allow one piece of checked luggage and will start charging for the second piece.
Below is a list of the airlines that have recently changed their policy. Some passengers are exempt from these baggage changes. In order to find out full details and whether this change will affect you, please visit the airlines respective websites.
AIRLINES
AIRTRAN AIRWAYS-Customers traveling on or after May 15, 2008, may check one bag free and a second bag for a $10.00 fee.
CONTINENTAL AIRLINES-Customers traveling domestically (US Canada, Puerto Rico, and US Virgin Islands) and purchased non-refundable economy tickets may check one bag for free and pay $25.00 each way for a second bag.
DELTA AIRLINES-For all customers traveling on or after May 1, 2008 on all domestic Delta flights, there will be a $25.00 charge for second checked bag.
NORTH WEST AIRLINES-Customers who purchased non-refundable domestic economy tickets may check one bag for free but pay $25.00 each way for a second checked bag effective May 5th, 2008

US AIRWAYS-Beginning May 5th, 2008, there will be a $25.00 charge for a second piece of checked luggage each way. This policy applies to all flights within the US, Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe.
UNITED AIRLINES-Beginning May 5th, 2008, there will be a $25.00 charge for a second piece of checked luggage each way.
FUEL SUPPLEMENTS-Airlines are not the onlytravel entities making these changes because of skyrocketing fuel costs. Most cruise lines, and some hotels have added a fuel surcharge to their prices as well. Despite all these changes, our clients remain optimistic and are still travelling because our agents are creative and can still get you the best deals!

>>HOT SPOTS FEATURED-"RIVERA NAYARIT"
One of the most exciting news out of Mexico is the emergence of a new hot spot-the RIVIERA NAYARIT. Much like the development of the Riviera Maya some years ago, the Riviera Nayarit located on the spectacular Pacific coast of Mexico has developed into an important tourist resort area.
The Riviera Nayarit is located in the state of Nayarit, in the heart of the Banderas Bay, 10 minutes from Puerto Vallarta International airport (Approximately 5 1/2hours from NewYork/Newark). It is a 50-mile coastal strip with hot tropical climate and average temperature of 77°F.
The Riviera Nayarit is blessed with natural beauty, tropical jungle areas, the Sierra Madre Mountains and flawless white coral beaches. This pacific coast destination is home to top-notch resorts and hotels, world-class spas, and world-class golf courses. Some of the top hotel chains such as Riu and Palladium already have gorgeous all inclusive resorts in the areas.
