GOOD NEWS-ELIMINATION OF FUEL SURCHARGE!
In early December, most major cruise lines announced the elimination of the fuel surcharge for all new cruises booked for 2009 and beyond. These decisions came about because oil prices fell recently to 70-77 dollars a barrel. Most cruise lines already made provisions for guests already booked for the 2009-2010 cruise seasons.(Please contact us for specific information)
Some of the cruise lines which have eliminated the fuel surcharge are Carnival, Princess, Holland America, Costa Cruises, Cunard, Seabourn, Disney, Crystal Cruises, Oceana, Regent, among others. This is great news for vacationers who are thinking about cruising this year.

9 VACATION SAVING TIPS FOR 09
Greetings One & All:
We can all agree that 2008 has been a challenging economic time for many people. Phrases such as ‘stimulus package’ and ‘bail-out’ have become the daily mantra of many. Most people are concerned and rightfully so about how to effectively manage their finances. The easy way is place your money under the mattress but the smart way is to seek the highest possible value for your money now.
There are great benefits to vacationing now. One of the benefit is savings-everything is on sale and the other benefit is to renew and rejuvenate so you can be better able to deal with these stressful times. So, here are money saving tips on getting the most value for your vacation dollar in 2009:
9 Tips on Saving money on your vacation in 09
1. Remember a recession does not mean everyone is going backwards- Believe it or not, now is the time when many people will be able to take their dream vacations. So for those of you who thought of traveling to Hawaii as a distant dream or vacationing in Sandals is just for the affluent, take a look at these prices below and call me at 718-560-3000 today.

2. Always Use A Travel Agent- Using a travel agent will save you time and money. The services of most travel agents are free or nearly free to the consumer. Travel Agents are experts and most times know of deals that will save you money. Time is money and using a travel agent will eliminate hours of wasted time and energy that you will spend looking for a trip. One of the benefits of using a travel agent from H.O.T. Vacations is that we can price match and beat any advertised vacation quote.
3. Be Flexible with your dates- If you are flexible with your vacation dates, the deals will be yours. Sometimes, if you shift the dates a day or two, we can save you hundreds of dollars.
4. Be Flexible with destinations- In this recession, many vacation destinations are on sale now. So, this is your opportunity to visit some new places or change up your usual vacation destinations. For example, we have great specials to Las Vegas. Some of our packages will run you $450.00 per person.
5. Shorten your vacation days- Some vacationers are accustomed to taking 7-10days on their vacations. But just taking a day or two less will save you some money this year.
6. Travel in Groups- Group travel is a great way to get to spend time with friends, family or acquaintances but it also saves you money. So, consider traveling as a group today.
7. Consider Taking a Cruise– Because of lower fuel surcharge and the recession, the price for cruises have fallen tremendously. So, if you are a landlocked vacationer, you may want to consider going on a cruise to save money.
For example, we have on sale now, a 7day Caribbean on sale starting at $399.00 per person. If you are interested in booking, please call us at 718-560-3000 immediately.
8. Book the Vacations that offer you a Stimulus plan- We are able to offer you stimulus packages to some of our partner suppliers and cruise lines. Some of these stimulus packages entail a lower initial deposit and the break payments up over time. These kind of packages are designed to help you pay for your vacation.
Please call us for details.
9. Let your travel agent know your needs- The best way to vacation smart in 2009 is to be open with your travel agent. Tell the travel agent what you are looking for and how much you would like to spend. We will be able to give you ideas on where you can go for your vacation buck as well as how we can spread out your payments.
